Instructions

Goal: Find 8-10 websites that fit our partnership requirements

Read these instructions very carefully. Your test will be timed.

How to Locate Sites

1.) Google search long niche phrases/terms and review the results by clicking on various sites (i.e "The best bridges in the Netherlands to see" or "The best way to hack into an Android Phone" or "How to improve my listening skills"). Don't use these exact terms -- think up your own!

2.) Avoid any site with extensions like .edu, .gov, .ch

3.) Go all the way to page 10 in Google results, as the domain you're looking for may not rank well for your specific search topic, but it may rank well for other keywords that you did not search for.

Analyzing a Site

1.) When you arrive on a site, review the header and footer of the site quickly and then go to the homepage to review the overall site. Here is what you should be looking for:

What We Want
-Blogs, content sites, informational sites, some of them might be poorly designed or appear old but have great traffic.
-Niche articles, tutorials, lists, educational content, hobby content
-Sites that might look under-whelming but rank well (like someone started it as a hobby but fell out of love)
Example of an ideal site: https://www.petenetlive.com/

What We Avoid
-Anything that has a phone number, is selling products, has a large staff
-Anything that looks like it is owned or being run by a big company (check footer for company name)
-Anything with illegal content (streaming sites, illegal downloads, NSFW content)
-E-commerce sites
-Anything that is up-selling services, courses, e-books, etc
-No sub-domains. For example: sample.domain.com
-Anything that is extremely active in content (avoid news sites or sites with lots of writers and staff)
Example of some sites we would avoid: https://www.udemy.com/topic/python/, https://medium.com/, https://www.buzzfeed.com/

2.) Put domain of the site into Similarweb.com to get traffic estimate. We only want sites that return more than 50K visitors and less than 4M visitors.

For this initial test, based on the parameters above, we ask that you start searching and find us 10 websites that fit the model described above in any category and return that to us for review. We will review your 10 websites to ensure accuracy.

When you click 'Start The Test', you will want to do your searching in a different tab or window. Leave the test page open.

You will have one hour to complete the test once it begins
